Rejuvenate with Face Up

After long exposures to sunlight, even if your skin has been properly protected it can look tired and dull. This is the perfect time to restore tone and energy, starting with a healthy diet and a good facial cleansing routine.

And if this isn’t enough, there’s Face Up by General Project.

We are what we eat
The beauty of the skin depends on the food we eat, which is why we need to start with a balanced diet. For a softer skin, we recommend lots of citrus fruit, kiwis, peppers and broccoli. The vitamin C contained in these fruits and vegetables is essential to the formation of collagen, the protein that supports the skin structure.

Almonds, sunflower seeds and olive oil all stimulate the skin’s natural defence against the sun’s rays. These foods are rich in vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant which protects the skin from the free radicals generated by UV rays.

For a firmer skin, you need to include red and orange vegetables and leafy greens in your diet: carrots, beet, radicchio and spinach are rich in antioxidants and beta-carotene, which our body converts into vitamin A, essential to the cell production and turnover.

Facial cleansing
The top spot is still held by the scrub. Carefully exfoliate your skin once a week (using a specific treatment) to remove the dead cells on the surface which contribute to “dulling” the brightness of your skin, leaving your complexion grey and rough.

The second step is cleansing. To thoroughly cleanse your skin, eliminate every trace of make-up, toxins and other impurities, cleansing milks and micellar waters are perfect. Lastly, the road to glowing skin requires adequate moisturising. This doesn’t mean just drinking at least two litres of water a day, but also “pampering” your skin from morning, with non-greasy day creams, to night, with oils that restore elasticity, like almond or avocado.

Face Up: technology at the service of beauty

If a balanced diet and the remedies in your beauty case don’t do the job, technology comes to your aid with Face Up, the new exfoliator by General Project, conceived especially for rejuvenation, skin tightening, minimising wrinkles and peeling.

Face up has a mechanically micro-pulsating orbital hand-piece.
Microdermabrasion is performed with a series of interchangeable heads made of silicon carbide. The orbital movement of the head allows the elimination of one or more layers of the epidermis from every part of the face, leaving the skin glowing and compact.

Micro-pulsation massages the skin and simultaneously stimulates the facial muscles underneath, improving circulation. The synergic action of the two techniques, contained in a single hand-piece, encourages the creation of new collagen.

Small, comfortable and easy to use, Face up uses disposable heads with different textures, guaranteeing the utmost hygiene and safety, adapting to suit every skin type.
